"Queniborough Road Closure"

Leicestershire County Council have informed us that the Queniborough Road will need to be closed for culvert works from 5th Jan 2009 for up to 8 weeks

"White Lining In The Village"

Before the autumn is out Charnwood Borough Council are to come and White Line roads in parts of the village. The area on Main Street around the bend at the old Post Office is to be addressed with some urgency as "passers through" drive around this busy corner on the wrong side of the road.

"Brook Along Brookside To Be Cleared"

Charnwood Borough Council have agreed to come and clear/maintain the Brookside Brook during October. This will incorporate from Holt Lane until the Waterfall after the Brookside Inn

"Spotted Any Fly Tipping?"

The incidents of Fly Tipping have increased considerably over the last few months.

The favourite places seem to be field gateways along our beautiful, winding, hedged and verged lanes.

"Where Can We Get More Recyling Bags?"

Church View Nurseries on Queniborough Road have kindly offered to keep stock of both Red and Green recyling bags for villagers. These were previously kept at the Post Office.

"More Neighbourhood Watch Signs For Our Village"

3 new neighbourhood watch signs have been purchased to help deter crime around our village.
These signs will be located on the Brookside, Main Street and Beeby Road.
